We had a wonderful time shooting at Elk Creek last weekend. I shot Papa's 20 gauge Trojan horrably and not much better with Uncle Taylor's 1881 Lifter. There were some beautiful small gauge hammer guns on display that were drug out of their cases and shot. It was a scorcher and many that had qualified for the Sunday shoot off were to beat up to come back and endure the heat. In their defense many were well into their 70's and some in their 80's.

Harry. I think it is very responsible of you to wear your seatbelt while operating the golf cart.

Would you happen to have a pic of Uncle Taylor’s gun? I haven’t drooled in awhile.
|
Harry, Were there any 20 ga hammer guns used? Gary

I'm not sure about 20 gauge hammer guns, but there were some 32, 24, and .410's. Not long ago I was looking at one of Harry Sparks small bore hammer guns and I commented what a wonderful fit it was. Harry said it didn't fit me at all. It didn't fit my pocketbook. Boy, did he hit the nail on the head.
The seat belt is my shell bag. This is for you Mike plus I'm holding it in the above picture. |
I knew it was your shell bag.....just being silly. That is one nice gun!

Thanks Mark. I knew you did and I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read your post. I get up at 0530 every morning, but don't wake up until about 1100.
