Question for Chuck Bishop.
 

Over the years I have read may Parker letters that indicate a gun went back to the factory for repairs or modifications. Many are for barrel repairs and re-blackening. I can't ever recall a gun being re case colored. I assume re case color was done but it seem like a very rare occurrence. I would love to hear your comments. Thanks Craig

Craig, I don't ever recall Parker using the term case color. What is seen in the order books is "reblue all iron parts" I believe this to also include the forend and trigger guard. Mark Conrad or Bill Mullins may have additional comments. They used the term rebrown barrels if the barrels were to be redone.

Chuck is correct in that Parker used the term “reblue all iron parts” in
the ones I am familiar with in which the case color was redone. 😊

I have always found this letter to be quite interesting--look at the prices.
They did every thing except recase color.

Harold those were the days! I have always liked your DHE16ga. I recall seeing my Grandfather's books from his dental practice in the 1920s. Along with monetary amounts, I found many notations of pulling a tooth for 2 dozen "Brown eggs", a hog or half a beef for a set of dentures.
