Jerry Kitto

Yesterday I lost my longtime friend and later my partner in the Ivory Beads Gun shop.
Jerry and I met at a Great Western Gun Show when it was a 1200 table show in Pomona Ca. from there we would talk about primarily Parkers.
When Jerry retired we decided to try a little gun store, specialising in vintage shotguns. It worked, and we were shipping all over the globe 4-5 guns per day. We finally had to hire help to keep up with the demand.
We opened on my 60th birthday and closed right after my 70th. We made a lot of friends during that period of time, and sold literally hundred's of Parkers. I will miss my friend, and think of him every time I see another Parker or 21.
Thanks to all of our friends in the Parker world...........Jim Thynne

Jerry,
My sincere condolences for your loss of a good friend. We don't get many in our lives so it hurts when we lose one that is special.

I met both of you at your booth in Sandanona way back when and you had two Parkers that had me coming back 3-4 times to look at. Every time I returned you both were just like we had been friends forever. I remember Jerry with his big smile lighting up his face. After I left for probably the 4th time , my buddy told me "go buy the gun, I know you. It will haunt you if you don't".

The gun was a DHE 20/32" straight grip, skeletal butt with a solid raised rib. It was the most I had ever spent on a Parker at the time and you two made the transaction painless. Still have it. Thanks and may God bless.

Jim,

So sorry for your loss. To lose a good friend is very difficult, but it's clear you have lots of strong and good memories to remind you of him.

Paul,
As I get forward with some health concerns. I will definatly miss Jerry. I will probably understand he is gone one of these days when I'm about to pick up the phone.

What a sad day. Jim and Jerry are a major part of Parker history. One of the great retail businesses of our lifetime. Can't say I have bought a Parker from Ivory Beads, but the boys helped me obtain a keystone in my collection, Bob Stack's shooting vest. Thanks again. Bill Murphy in Maryland.

Jim, that is indeed very sad news, I remember buying the AA pigeon gun from you two and I remember I tossed out an offer and he looked at you and asked is he serious and you nodded your head, yes and he got on the phone and called the consigner and we made the deal. He was a true gentleman and allows had that big smile on his face. He will be missed and I'm sorry for the loss of your good friend. Eric
