Ejectors

If you needed work done on ejectors, who would you send your Parker to?

John Davis 12-16-2018 04:47 PM

This is the ejector on an SC SBT.

Abe Chaber

when I needed ejector parts I called DelGrego. They have the parts but will not sell them. They will only provide them if they fix your gun. This was years ago but I think this is still their policy.

Further to Patrick's comment; why should they sell the parts. They are original Parker (Illion) manufactured parts and there won't be any more. Delgrego is in the repair and restoration business, and he's certainly not going to put himself out of business.
I knew Stosh was going to say Abe Chaber, and I have never heard a negative comment about the guy. I guess (touch wood) I've been lucky not to have needed him, and I'd like to just meet him some day. He's practically in my back yard.

John I have heard good things about Bill Schwartz in Ellijay GA. He has never done any work for me personally but I have heard a lot of positive things about his work. He would be closer to home for you.

I was able to talk Lawrence out of an original ejector hammer for a Repro I had but he whined and complained about it then finally gave in.... but he charged me $125 for it.

We parted friends...

I was told Abe Chaber retired at least a year ago. Britton Condon sent Abe (who they did LOTS of business with) a Pointer Grade Browning SP Trap 32-incher in the late Spring of 2016 for restocking and Abe returned it with "retired" marked on the inside package.

Well, what is the answer to the original question? I reread the entire thread and didn't remember reading an answer.
