Woodcock 1 Attachment(s) On an early Grade 2 toplever. Would be more appropriate on a 0 frame 16 gauge, but this is on a 4 frame 10 gauge |

That’s the Parker Bros. Trademark woodcock. It’s about as out of place on a 4-frame 10 gauge as a stag elk is on a 0-frame twenty gauge grade 4 or 5. . |

Thought this was a particularly good example. Like Dean says, not exactly a woodcock gun |

trade you a duck engraving on my 10 ga for your woodcock mills...i really like that woodcock and that 4 frame 10 gauge....charlie |

There is a GH 8 gauge that has ducks on all 3 engraving patterns. That would be a good one. The land birds on mine look like turkeys and that is very appropriate |

 2 Attachment(s) Some more photos. Compared to a VH 20 |

That is definitely a woodcock in the wrong place, from what I know about woodcock. Also don't recall hearing them found in the wide open rolling prairie. Maybe it is suppose to be a King Rail, which I understand to be related to emus which can vicious birds requiring max fire power. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CI0_0lgMvk |
