Is 70786 CH B4 out there?
Does anyone have CH serial number 70786? It is a B4, H, 0, C, with 30" barrels. I'm wondering because I picked up a very rough CH serial number 87757 which is also a B4, H, 0, C, with 30" barrels. The letter says that 87757 was $150, but discounted $115 due to the trade in of 70786. I was curious of the differences between the configuration and chokes that would lead to the trade in. It must have been in good shape to bring $115 trade in on a used gun.

I don't think you could put much wear on a gun in just a couple of years.

I guess a $35 discount would be about right for a used gun in very good shape. 87757 is a 1 frame weighing 7 lb 3 oz. with a 13 5/8" LOP. It was ordered by William G. Wright of Harrow, Ontario to be shipped to Frank E. McDonald of Detroit. From what I could google Frank was 16 years old. Nice shotgun for a boy that age.

Bob, the letter on S/N 87757 was returned to me over a week ago. It was originally mailed to you in September. I sent you an e-mail but never heard back from you. I need your address, I used the one in the membership roster but it bounced back to me.
Please send me the correct address and I'll send the letter to you again. Thanks, Chuck pgcaresearch@verizon.net |
Thanks Chuck. Sorry for the confusion. Finally got packed and moved in to the new place. I hadn't been able to check the mail from the new box for a couple of months. I talked to the postmistress about why some of my mail was returned. She apologized and said while the two towns combined their names when they joined the post offices remained separate. I'll send an email to you and Mary with the correct address.
