You're a lucky man. I live on a farm and the geese nest on one of the creeks that run through it. Toward the end of April or first of May when the Iris start to bloom the geese will walk their young from the nest to join with others. I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas. I enjoy the rebirth of spring.

The honkers don't stay here long. We have a pond down the street where they congregate as they head south. We did have a family of mallards at the pond this year. I live right in town, so the pond offers some neat things to show the grandkids. I never see them, but there are some beaver in the little pond, too! The area I hunt grouse is 20 miles north of here, where I grew up and spent my youth. Cheers!
