VH #1 frame
What percentage of VH 12g a. were made on # 1 frames? I am looking at one and am wondering how common they are. Thank you.

That information is not known. One can only speculate.

had to be several thousands made...charlie

Charlie in my wandering of gun shops and the internet, admittedly limited, i had not seen many. It has one glaring wart, a shortened stock, now a spacer and pad but it is otherwise good to my purposes and has a new home now.

I would think that the 1 frame would be close to a standard for the 12
|
The 1 frame, the 1 1/2, and the 2 are the common standard sizes for the 12 gauge.
The 1 1/2 made it's debut just before the turn of the century and eventually caused the 1 frame to be phased out. . |
Once again in my limited experience i have seen many 2 frame 12 ga. but this is the first 1 frame i have been offered. Any how it suits me and the price was fair.

Thank you Dean. This gun is from 1922. Your answer was very helpful.

There seem to be a lot of 1 frame 12 gauges in the early days of hammerless Parkers, but not as many once the 1 1/2 frame came in
