Should be pretty sharp, eh?

It states "pasteurized" so I'm quite certain it's not the oldest.

Pasteurization was invented in 1864 by Louis Pasteur.

Pasteur's early work was with wine and beer. Pasteurization of milk products did'nt start until the late 1800's if I'm not mistaken.

I wonder if the FEB 08 18 means the beginning and ending dates it took to make it in 1969? But I don't make cheese so I am guessing.

I looked up "world's oldest cheese" and learned that chunks of cheese were found in the throat and chest of a Chinese mummy, making that the world's oldest cheese.... so far.

. . . but, it wasn't pasteurized, so it doesn't count. :nono:
