Mike - a nice resto job - who did the case color?
. |
trojan 16 gauge
dave wolf in waco tx did the stock fitting and finish as the original stock was cracked at the wrist replaced with new unfinished stock from a parker member briley did the rust blue of the barrels an turnbull did all the charcoal and bone case color
she should be ready for another 100 years |
I love those old Trojans. No frills but the wood to metal fit was the quality of the graded guns. Great guns. I have one now that I am restoring. The barrels are done and I'll begin work on the stock finish and then the checkering.
Mike's Trojan is one great looking gun. |
Mike, was it your call to put a graded stock on the gun?
|
yes it was cheaper to do that than repair original broken stock and it makes the gun unique
|
besides all my old doubles are shooters and it looks good and shoots good
|
the original stock was a clean breakthrough at the wrist and one of the parker members gave a great deal on a new factory unfinished stock
