February 2018 I displayed this shotgun at our "Show and Tell Night" in Patagonia, AZ. I apologies for the delay in getting these pictures posted.
This a 30 inch damascus barreled Jones Underlever, nice and quick handling gun.

THE year was 1828. Novelists Leo Tolstoy and Jules Verne were being born worlds apart, the composer Franz Schubert was dying in Austria and thousands of Englishmen still bore the scars of Waterloo. And in the market town of Beverley, gunsmith Esau Akrill was putting his name to a store in the market place and forging a family trade that would last 173 years. Five generations have passed and the name Akrill has become synonymous with quality and old-fashioned service. Esau ran the store until 1880, and the man – or woman – in charge has always signed their name Akrill. Even an Emily Akrill ran the gun shop while the menfolk were away at war. Now Akrill’s is to close its doors after almost two centuries as a mainstay in the town. With a tear in his eye, the descendant of the first Akrill to sell weapons and ammunition from the humble store, will tomorrow say enough is enough.

I would imagine many in Britain celebrated the loss. I would hate to be the one in charge when an old family business closed. Looks like a really nice gun. First I’ve heard of them.

Hope these are better photos:
Barrel Length: 30 inches
Right Barrel Bore: .743
Left Barrel Bore: .736
both are choked cylinder
based on the wall thickest I don't believe either barrel has been honed

This gun was purchased from Erickson and Erickson approximately 15 years ago.

nice gun...sad about the closeing of the store....charlie

A nice mid-level gun. But at .743 ID, I'd be willing to bet that the right barrel at least has had a bit of hone work...
