Restored GH 16
1 Attachment(s)
My contribution for Foto Friday. Little 16 GH on an 0 frame. Restocked, recased, and extra set of aftermarket 26" 20 gauge barrels (shown in picture). Original 28" barrels are damascus, refinished as well, bores are a little pitted in those but still shootable. Stock and barrel work / refinishing by Chris Dawe, case colours by Oskar Kob.

Where do aftermarket 20 gauge barrels come from? Great gun.

barrel flats
1 Attachment(s)
Thank you!
In terms of maker, I know there are several markings on the barrel flats, I do recall seeing "kent" for one. Don't have them close to me at the moment as I'm not home right now. Will provide some more info tomorrow once I get them in hand. The rib is similar to parker style, but more narrow and slightly raised more than a true parker rib. Fortunately they happened to be pretty much a drop in fit. Barrel flats read... "H.Y. Haight ltd" with "Kent, CT" below it. Barrels are also choked (using Galazan brass gauge) left barrel improved cylinder, right barrel cylinder. |
Wow, what a find.
