12 gauge Ithaca flues #4 grade barrel weight

Hello. I have a 12 gauge ithaca flues #4 grade that is in great condition. It has 30 inch M/F barrels and shoots great. I have noticed that the barrels seem kind of heavy for the gun. I looked up the serial number and it was built in 1910-1911. I wonder if the original owner ordered it as a duck gun. I have also noticed that it has the early fine engraving pattern instead of the later course engraving. The engraving is beautiful. Did ithaca produce different weight barrels like fox did? I have also noticed that most ithaca #4s have ejectors but mine does not. Any thoughts, thanks B Willis.

I think this question you need to ask on the doublegunshop.com. Walt Snyder who wrote the Ithica book is on that board and should be able to answer any of you questions.
