Dallas area gunsmith

Hello Gentlemen,

I am looking for a reputable gunsmith to inspect two family heirloom Parkers of which I have just come in possession.

Can anyone recommend someone in the Dallas, TX area?

I thank you kindly for your assistance.

I guess you probably can't do any better than Hershel Chaddick's in Terrell just East of Dallas. He has been in the business of buying and selling Parkers and other fine guns for decades.

.

Thanks Dean. I guess you're right. He's got to have a great gunsmith.

I guess I didn't think of him because I have no interest in selling at any price.

Jim, I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier.... Kirk Merrington is also right in Terrell.

Really? The last I heard his shop was in Kerrville.

Thanks a million, Dean. That would be a great choice. I know his reputation on English guns. Is it safe to assume he is equally schooled on old American guns?

Yup, you're right. I guess the double r's and double l's threw me.

He's schooled in English guns but he is one of the finest gunsmiths we know of, regardless. He has worked on many Parkers and his reputation is impeccable.

Thanks any way. It may be worth a trip to Kerrville.
