Storage / Display
What is the best way to store high condition parkers with a lot of case color? I want to build a display in my gun room and I was thinking of using some bullet proof glass. I want to make sure that I dont use anything that may let the wrong type of light in that may erode the case color... Any ideas? Besides not touching it and keeping it in the dark....
Thanks |
UV resistant glass would be best i would say.

I agree with what Brian has said above, though I suspect the amount of sunlight needed to erode case colors is quite significant and unless a gun is in full sun for many years, it is likely to remain quite nice as long as its wiped down every few months.
I love G-96 for wiping guns down. |
Not sure what your budget is, but Julian and Sons makes great gun displays. A big collector I know has a Julian display and it is quite nice. The display did not have glass, but the room was something of an interior room that did not get direct sunlight.

Ed, I store my guns in regular glass covered cabinets keeps the dust off and since I am under ground I do not have a sun light problem, lighting is fluorescent, and as Josh says with care the color will outlast most of us, Gary
