25" barrel length

Anybody have an idea as to how many guns in twelve gauge were made with 25" barrels and would guns with that barrel length be more or less valuable. Thanks for any help.

The Parker story breaks it down to the various grades, actions & types of barrel steel for barrel lengths per gauge. As an example. I have a GH 12ga with 25" Damascus barrels. The table in the Grade 2 section of TPS lists it as one of three made in that grade for all types of barrel steels & action. I would say that makes it a fairly rare Grade 2 Parker.

IMO as far as value goes, it would be up to the individual buyer to determine based on the normal criteria of rarity, condition, gauge etc.

I would like to think the 25" barrels on my gun would add extra value to it. Especially since I have a PGCA letter verifying the barrel length along with the information provided in the Parker Story.

As an aside, those who ordered Parkers with 25-inch barrels may have sought to obtain an American version of the classic Churchill XXV, which was introduced in the early 1920s.

Parkers with non standard barrel lengths generally carry a premium.
