Someone have the balance of the gun???
 

Ran into this beat up stock today which I will sell if somebody needs it. If only for the skeleton butt plate.

Looks like serial number 224125 which is in the book as a Straight grip single trigger vent rib 16 ga DHE with 32 inch barrels.

Stock is cracked.

Why would it be in the book as Straight grip?

a good wood man can make this stock look almost new...we have some talented people on here....charlie

Odd with that serial number, but Judging by the flat mullered border, the nose of the comb and the shape of the drop point, I would say that stock was made by Remington.

Maybe restocked by remington? That would explain the grip style discrepancy.
