Help with a frame size stamp

I asked this seller for a picture hoping this 32 inch v was a 3 frame. Never seen 12 stamped. The gun weights
can anyone help.

It's the ultra rare 12 frame:rotf::rotf:
Seriously, it's probably a 1 1/2 frame. Not uncommon to see the gauge on the lug in later year guns

Not Uncommon? I'd say it's pretty common.

Ask the seller to measure distance between firing pins center to center. That measurement will give you the frame size from the chart in the TPS or the serializationbook

Edgar, my daughter says to stop being a smart ass:whistle:

4 lbs., 8 oz. makes it a 2 frame in my experience.

Ok thanks the gun weights 8-2 so I was thinking it is close to a 3 frame. I have a 32 inch 3 frame 12 that is 8-4. The search continues.
