Newer photos
Gentlemen:
I have posted recent, close-up photos as you suggested for perhaps a closer look for value but, as of yet, no one has viewed them. They are attached on the last page of my original post. Though they still are not the best photos, they are closer ones and the best we could do. Let me know what you think. Carolyn |
Hi Carolyn,
I gave your photos a "thanks" to bump the thread to the top. Hopefully other will now see the thread and comment. The photos are not clear enough for me to give an opinion of the value. I have bought guns from Internet sites with similar photos but paid only a rock bottom price for them. Most times I got a better gun than what I thought I was buying. With fuzzy photos one takes a chance when buying. So... perhaps your photographer could try again? The above stated it looks like surface tarnish (flecking?) on the 10 gauge. That will lower the value. Better photos might reveal a condition much higher than what I can determine from those photed. I suspect it is in better condition than what the photos reveal. Please shoot better photos or send your guns for consignment with a reputable dealer. Respectfully, Mark |
Thank you Mark.
I know the photos are somewhat fuzzy but they are the best my daughter could do. I think you are right and my best bet is to just send them out to a reputable dealer. Doesn't a good cleaning help with removing any tarnish and such? Thanks, Carolyn |
The right cleaning will help but let the new owner worry about that. Please do not try to clean them. Plesae let us know where you send them I kinda like that 10 Gauge:whistle::bigbye::):corn::)

I have a question.... I know "what else is new?"
A friend of my late husband just told me that I could not send or receive firearms through the mail without a License. Is this true? If so, how do I send my guns to a dealer for consignment? |
You can send your shotguns to a FFL dealer what your friend is thinking is you can not receive a gun unless it goes through a FFL dealer
