Is this two different materials or what?

Odd the way that looks. Usually the space under the ribs, both top and bottom, has steel keels there and that silver colored filler is the lead solder. The keel under top rib is usually triangular as cross-cut and the keel under the bottom rib is often round.

Those look like keels but they look like they have rusted away somewhat... I've never seen anything like it.

Are they Parker barrels?

Yes Dean they are cut Parker damascus barrels. Looks fairly fresh cut to me. Owner says they are barely under 26 inches with cyl/cyl chokes or no choke. No 1 frame 12ga. On Gun Broker not mine.

Looks like corroded solder to me.

Dean is virtually there on this one. Cut barrels: Then the keels filled with God-knows-what. Possibly brown Acra-Glas? It's a classic bodger job all-around.

My first thoughts on this one was cut barrels & what we are seeing is some sort of filler used under the ribs before soldering.

There have been several threads in the past here & on other sights showing a filler material between the barrels & under the ribs after the ribs have been pulled.

What is the normal length of keels? These barrels are 3/16 under 26in.

Serial no is 116797 .

lists as having 28" barrels

Keels are generally about 1.5" long up to maybe 2"

Paul makes a good point - something other than steel used also as keels in order to save weight, something shaped like the keels but not steel.
