The Parker screw

I saw a posting in the members only area about Parker screws for underlifters and I started to make this post there but I felt that I was about to steal that thread. So, I am starting a thread on the topic here.

Some of you may find this interesting?

This is an article I worked on years ago for Parker Pages. I learned a lot while digging up the information and the other thread sparked the idea to share it with this forum.

Screw threads

Great paper, Just a note on 30 TPI etc. I do a lot of early antique car work and have found a lot of screw pitch that is between NC and NF. before 1915 about lots of screws were 10-24 or 1/4-24 for example rather than the 32 and 28 standard. Delco on their distributors used a 10-30 well into the late 1930's. you never quite now what you are going to find on early stuff.

Just some tidbits
