Greener at auction
An auction coming up has a Greener ser# 39540 for sale. It is a 12 ga. with the scalloped frame. The serial number indicates is was made between 1895 and 1902. Can anyone tell what the grade would be or how I would tell when I get there.
Thanks |
No way to tell the grade by the serial number. The scalloped frame indicates that it is at least a mid-grade gun.

A VH 12 with original Damascus barrels is a rarity.... it must have had warts?

What was the serial number of the Damascus V Grade? $4000 for a Damascus D must have been some great gun in a small auction. Someone knew what they were looking at.

$300 VH
The ser. # on this gun is 151362. It is not in the book. Have it as made in 1909. My mistake on the barrels. The auctioneer listed them as Damascus. I made notes on his hand out but not enough in this case. I remember discussing with another their poor condition and that they are not Damascus.
The DHE ser#138548 was in very nice condition through out. There were just two to many bidders at this auction. The two who went on bidding after I quit. |
