Stamps on Parker Single Trigger Blade.

1 Attachment(s)
I have examined and photographed a nice little DHE skeet gun with a Parker Single Trigger and I need to be certain about the stamps on the side of the trigger blade.

The serial number is 236162 and it appears that the last three digits of the ser. no. are stamped - which is commonplace for smaller parts of a Parker Bros. shotgun. Maybe somebody can verify this for me as I respected the owner's wish and didn't take it apart or clean it.

The other stamp beneath that could be PB for Parker Bros. but not having examined others closely, I don't know for sure.

Hopefully somebody with experience in Parker Single Triggers can verify or dispel my assumptions.

Can we see the rest of the gun please?

Dean Romig 03-17-2017 07:30 AM

Yes, in the Summer Issue of Parker Pages.

Any ideas Gentlemen?

well - I agree its the last of the serial number

but it looks like there is an overstamp of couple letters on a different angle

maybe a "P" and another then a period

did you tell the owner you would be really really careful taking it apart?

Dean it looks ok to me. If you want I'll take a closer look at my skeet guns but it looks good, give me a call or a pm if something really stands out to you Eric

There should be crossed P,s stamped on the trigger blade also Dean.

Dean, My SN 238528 shows the same mark in the same place, "Pt.", with no numbers visible.

Dean Romig 03-17-2017 11:33 AM

Thanks Fred! That explains it. "Pt." Now to look that up in The Parker Story.

I searched for that stamp (Pt.) in TPS and couldn't find any reference to it at all.

So it's meaning is open to speculation I think...

Could it mean Parker trigger? A strange abbreviation for Patented? or Peerless trigger?

Any other thoughts or knowledge?
