Need some input on a Trojan 16 gauge

Looking at picking up a Trojan 16 gauge. Would like some of the experts to chime in. Here is the link to the gun I'm looking at http://www.gunsinternational.com/gun...n_id=100770841
Hard to tell by the pics but from what you can see does this look like it's original ?

Looks right as rain. Looks like the wood may have had a fresh coat of varnish but that doesn't detract from it.

That looks like a pretty nice Trojan. I don't see any issues with it.

Did the Trojans have the Parker Brothers stamp on the sides of the receivers or some not all ? I was told the gun dates 1915. Thanks for the input. This would be my first Parker

The stock on the gun appears to Have had the comb taken down to increase the amount of drop in it. That explains the new looking finish too. And the case colors are completely gone. Suggesting intentional removal.

All Trojans from introduction to the time of Remington takeover have the name engeaved on the sides.

Price is a bit high on this gun given the alterations to the gun.

Thanks for the info , I think I'm gonna pass on this one. I'd like to find one that is in original condition.

It's a nice one.... unless you want a safe queen.

Brian is right on with the stock issues, the drop at heal looks extremely low even for a Trojan, I would not buy a shooter that I am unable to shoot well.

Josh Prahin 03-12-2017 10:38 AM

Not looking for a safe queen but I would like it to have the original stock dimensions

Rick Losey 03-12-2017 11:01 AM

you would be better off looking for one with YOUR stock dimensions
