Factory stock, but no medallion

Has anyone ever seen a factory stock without a medallion? I'm looking at pictures of a GH straight hand stock with no medallion, but the serial number and grade are present under the trigger guard.

Just because the serial and grade are in the inletting does not guarantee it is a factory stock.

The lack of a shield would have me suspicious.

Yes..My all original BH Damascus 12 ga has a gold grip cap and NO medallion, and is 100% original...Letter states that it has a gold grip cap.

I had a DHE with a gold grip cap and no medallion.There was a presentation inscription on the grip cap.
