i seen at least one magazine extions one gun...noticed some unsafe shooting too...i guess i would have been out there with them in those early days...but today we all know that you can kill the game out....charlie

I saw the extended magazine tube as well. Looks like they are all shooting Remington Model 11's. (or Browning A5)

Even in recent times snow geese have gotten so thick that there are no limits in places. I've seen clouds of them while driving across the Canadian prairies that boggle the mind. Not too many years back the Canadians told the Americans that if they didn't thin their snows out in the west that they were going to start mass slaughtering them by any means, as they destroying so much of the grain crop. I read a story of two Colorado(?) brothers who went out to see how many snows they could kill in a week and it came to more than 2000. I hope the soup kitchens and homeless shelters ate well from that effort. A lot of greater Canadians don't go south of Denver these days. The place is stuffed with geese all winter. They love the golf courses, play grounds and football fields, anything that is nice green grass and they do make a mess!

Great video. Lots of geese around lately. There are both spring and fall seasons for Snow/Ross geese here in Alberta. The daily limit is 50, with no possession limit. Electronic calls legal too. The snows are destroying the tundra in their nesting areas, just stripping it down to dirt. That is one of the main reasons the federal government encourages the provinces to raise their limits.

I noticed one fellow with a neck tie but most just looked like me. Thinking about trying live dove decoys but they would most likely just fly away.How about that wagon with four horses to haul a few birds. WOW

That is neat John! I saw one fellow shooting a double had 2. Back when man had a brain and was not over regulated. Back when most people used the bible as the law book well I'm going to shut up starting to "ramble on" as Zepp would say.

I think somebody had a Winchester because I saw them pump the barrel 2 different times to load it.

Very interesting video. Seeing the holes they dug brought back memories of hunting geese with my uncle Jim when I was little kid " 5 years old "

Uncle Jim had three old wooden pickle barrels buried on a bluff above the reservoir where he was a member of the duck club who had the hunting rights. These barrels were barley big enough for a man to get into. When the geese came your way you would hunker down in the barrel & then let them have it when they came in range. All his friends shot model 12 duck guns back then. My how times have changed. Even as young as I was my uncle let me have a daisy BB gun unloaded and would let me swing on the geese as if I was one of the big guys.

No wonder I been hooked on hunting and shotguns my entire life.
