Beretta 486 Parallelo

Good morning:

I was recently over in the U.K. visiting the wife's family, and read some reviews on this Beretta SxS. Has anyone seen or maybe purchased one? I am considering one to have a nice gun that will shoot anything, steel, Hevi-shot, etc., with the added plus of screw-in chokes. I really like the version with false side-plates, but I believe it is only in 20 gauge.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Al, a fellow in my Izaak Walton League who shoots some NSCA birds bought a 486 12 gauge 32" gun. I like the feel of it, but don't know any more about it. He seems to like it, but doesn't shoot it in competition. I shoot only side by sides in competition and don't feel handicapped. I have had my day searching for the absolute last bird. I would rather shoot a Parker pigeon gun in NSCA and maybe lose a bird here and there.
