better late than never

or

more guns from the Rock part 2

I looked hard at this one at the Rock, hemmed and hawed all the out to the truck- and started kicking my self for walking away on the way home. So I called the seller - took a drive - and done

I always liked side levers and underlevers- got both in one

12, 30" damascus, bores are spotless after having been cleaned up at some point in the past - but still great walls, so no worry

Eric

Did you see the link to the album?

What would you like to see of it?

Was that the gun that Vintage Doubles had for sale.

Rick Losey 10-08-2016 02:27 PM

No. I must have missed that if there was another

This gun appears to be made on Rigby's snap action. The same as the E. P Wolstenholme gun I wrote of in the Autumn 2015 DGJ. Nicely done. BTW, the Wolstenholme gun will be available through Morphy's in November.

Rick, guess my second post didn't go through, I saw the album part after I posted. What a neat gun and the combination sidelever and underlever combined into one is really nice. Do you know the date of the gun?

WW Greener took over from his late father in 1869 - the not for ball markings are not on this one - they started in 1875

so until I hear from Greener, that range is just a guess
