More guns from the Rock
Several friends asked me to post pics of the two Ithaca small bores I scored while at Rock Mtn. Sold 3 guns, bought 2 = net drop of 1 gun. Well, I'm still on track to reduce the collection. Ha!
Just an aside, while there at the Rock I shot 25 full-power Remington shells through them at random stations to check their single triggers for function, and missed only 2 birds. Then when I took each gun back to finish the deal its seller asked how I did? Answer: OK :rotf: First year (1926) Ithaca NID Grade 1, 20-bore with 28” tubes choked Mod & Full, factory Miller SST trigger http://i1044.photobucket.com/albums/...pssbxsiaxe.jpg 1935 Ithaca Lefever A Grade, a rare Skeet Model 6, 20-bore with 26” tubes choked IC and Mod, smallish BT forend, factory single trigger and ejectors. Watch out grouse! http://i1044.photobucket.com/albums/...pspazonmub.jpg |
Frank at least you sell a couple along the way. I have a hard time doing that part:rotf: I'm still on a bit of a rifle theme, I just can't seem to break away from it:shock:

Frank. my only hope when attending these shoots is to ball my fists in my pockets and make it very hard to pull them out when looking at the nice doubles for sale or trade. Sometimes it works but most not! My rifle collections is getting a little smaller as my double gun collection grows. 2 very nice guns there!

Does the 1926 NID have cocking indicators at the top of the receiver? If not then what am I looking at in the picture?
|
Yes it has cocking indicator pins, hammers aren't cocked in the pic thus the pins are down. That shiny spot on top of the frame marks the right pin.
