On face but loose on the bite? Remedy???

We have a VH that is not off face, but is loose the bite, in other words there is vertical movement of the barrels.

What is the easiest fix, installing a bite wedge as seen on later guns, and fitting, or what?

I have new ones for sale that i have had manufactured that are straight and ready for fitting. Price for these is $75.00 for the part.
