We are pleased to share with you the great news that the National Rifle
Association (NRA) today endorsed Senator McCain for re-election to the U.S. Senate.

Chris Cox, Chairman of the NRA’s Political Victory Fund today said the following in endorsing Senator McCain:

“John McCain has steadfastly voted against every gun and ammunition ban in Congress. This along with his commitment to preserving our hunting heritage has earned him the NRA-PVF’s endorsement. We ask all Arizona gun-owners, hunters and NRA members to vote for John McCain in the U.S. Senate Republican primary on August 24th.”

You can read the full press release here and we have a blog post up at JohnMcCain.com that shares more details on this exciting endorsement and includes video from Senator McCain’s speech at the NRA 2009 Convention in Phoenix.

A great man, an American hero, a man who has given much to his country and continues to serve, and who would have made a great president.

American Hero - YES

Patriot - YES

Great Military Man - YES

Smart - You be the judge - He graduated 7th from the bottom of his class at Annapolis Naval Academy and jokes about it.

Gteat Senator - NO - Never came close to filling Barry Goldwater's shoes.

Supporter of gun rights: - Sometimes - But wants a law to outlaw gun sales at gun shows in spite of Instant Background Checks by telephone at gun shows

Is he MORE supportive of gun rights than opponent JD Hayworth - NO - Hayworth was every bit as supportive of the NRA and gun rights as McCain when he served as a US Congressman from Arizona.

Tough on Illegal Immigration - FLIP FLOPS - Opposed building a border fence and wanted a "shortcut to citizenship" for Illegal Aliens who broke our laws while running for President in 2008 - Now that he's running for reelection in Arizona, he wants to deport illegals and is running a TV commercial where he says "complete the DANG fence."

How do people rate him - RINO - "Republican In Name Only" - Too liberal - Flip Flopper - Too Old.

Can he defeat JD Hayworth in Arizona's Republican primary on August 24, 2010 - Maybe - He's got a "war-chest" of 20 million and his wife's Budweiser distributorship makes her worth well over 100 million - JD Hawworth has less than 1 million and we all kmow, "MONEY TALKS" !
