Fine Knives with Parkers
4 Attachment(s)
Many members also appreciate fine handmade knives along with their Parkers. A friend sent me these to post. He just got the wood handled one on the left, handmade by a former Kansas craftsman now living in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
In the interest of generating interest and participation, photos by others with the same interest would be appreciated. At the same time mi amigo ordered the wood handled one, I ordered one with a damascus blade. Three years later, I understand it is now enroute, and this will be a new thing for me, as I have never owned anything like this before. I wouldn't be surprised that with all the talent we seem to have on this board, that there are some custom knife makers too and maybe they could show pictures of their work. |
Would that be Dean Hamilton? Tell me about that powder horn. WOW!!! ch
|
That would in fact be Dean Hamilton. The powder horn and the bone handled knife were done by an engraver/craftsman in Ferlach Austria for the owner. The folder was done by an American living in Argentina who makes one of a kind knives when he is not out shooting dove or catching trout.
Again, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that many here have some pretty nice knives or make them and pictures, please. |
Very nice Bruce. I'm afraid to go down the knife road for fear it will be just like the rod/reel/gun thing. One's too many and a hundred ain't enough.

This isn't in the same league with those fine hand-made knives but I thought I'd show it here on the only knife thread I've ever seen on our forum.
This is the L.L. Bean 2010 Collector Trout & Bird knife that will be among some very fine Silent Auction items at the PGCA Banquet on September 25. If you haven't done so already, send a check to Allan Swanson for your banquet tickets. . |
