It worked but ........

Picked up Trojan 160118. I was the only bid and I knew there would be some issues but, bottom line, all can be remedied, with one exception. The wood is not original. Almost all the rest is but for some interesting repairs/replacements.

The hammer screws
The tang screw
A buggered trigger screw locking screw.

As I said, it all works but Charles P would be embarrassed. The macgyvered trigger screws were proud of the frame by at least 1/16". The copper bushings couldn't take much more - one was broken so the trigger was stuck. The little lock screw has a cut-out from a drill bit or maybe it was in place while the trigger screw was forced in - don't know. Again, all can be replaced. Nice thing is the lock-up and the barrels. The frame is blued. So bottom line, not of any collector interest but before I pass it along one day, I will test it out on some wild roosters. Cheers, Jack

Now that is some crude "repair" work. Hopefully the receiver threads aren't stripped or damaged. If the internals are good Galazan offers replacement screws - http://www.csmcspecials.com/Parker_A...ws_p/ps020.htm

you also might contact Brian Dudley about replacements

Gotta love the creativity of barnyard repairs.

Thanks Rick. I have a large selection of nearly any screw one may need for Parkers. Some used, some new old stock and some new manufacture.

No need to buy a whole set of unfitted ones when you can get just the one you need individually.

Tested out the threads with proper screws and they were not messed up so all should be good. Cheers, Jack
