E.M. Riley 10 Gauge
Recently picked up the above gun. It has very nice dimensions and shoots very well. It has 32 inch barrels, ball grip, nice engraving and very nice wood. Overall very good condition. I do notice a slight play in the stock though and want to correct that before shooting it too much. The right side of the head of the stock shows a very slight hairline gap from the receiver. Would this be a case for glass bedding? I have never done any glass bedding but it sounds easy enough. I probably should have a good gunsmith check it though. Any recommendations on someone who could take a look and has reasonable turnaround times?

Mr. Weeman:
You have an outstanding English gun in that Reilly. Please see the Fall 2015 issue of Double Gun Journal for the full story. And by all means do NOT work on that gun yourself. I recommend you send it to Kirk Merrington for evaluation and any fix. His website is http://merringtongun.com |
Thank you for taking the time to make the recommendation John. Greatly appreciated.
