Decent DHE 16 At Cabelas
While a friend and I were at Cabelas Kansas City this morning after returning from a shoot in Nebraska, we noticed a nice DHE 16 ga, 28" fluid, mid 20's gun,No. 1 frame, refinished stock, dt, splinter, black recoil pad, $4500. Looks to me to be a real deal for somebody looking for a nice gun at a reasonable price. Still has good case colors and barrel blue.
Not mine, no monetary interest in the gun, just passing it on for those looking. |
There's a decent DHE16 on Champlins site also. $3950. Well used but not really abused and seems all original and sound.

Hi Bruce!
Is this on their website yet? I'll try to call them tomorrow before work, but - I've been looking for a DH/E 16 for a while, and this one might be a good candidate.. Many thanks - and safe travels home! John |
I appreciate Bruce pointing out this gun. On the West Coast, Parkers are uncommon and looking at web sites always leaves one with questions and uncertainty. A heads up (good or bad) from someone who has viewed a gun in person is useful information. Since we can't buy and sell here, educated evaluations of guns personally observed by members is a valuable contribution to the BBS. - Thanks Bruce

A buddy of mine is in the process of buying the one at Champlins!

There is a very nice GH-16 on a#0 frame on gunbroker.
|
Paul: your buddy will have to clean Densmore's digital drool off the Champlin gun..!
|
My buddy passed on the Champlin gun. George Caswell was at the Colorado collectors show and the gun has an issue so he decided not to bring it with him. Because of the issue my Buddy passed on the gun.

Another thread that ended in 2010 without serious comment on the original post by Bruce Day. Too bad we don't know what happened to the Cabela's DHE 16.

I think that if Dunkle bought it that means he has to send me his Daly fwt....
