I am hoping somebody will educate me as I simply do not know the answer
What is the purpose of the hex screw on the trigger of this gorgeous shotgun? |
Probably trigger pull weight adj screw.
. |
Possibly a length of pull adjustment. Similar to a K80?
|
It appears to me that it has an adjustable LOP by moving the trigger position. My dad had a Sauer O&U made by Caesar Guerini that had a similar setup.
|
Also interchangeable triggers...
|
Adjustable trigger position. Seen on many competition guns. My 682 had one.
|
I hadn't noticed the 'travel' slot for the trigger group.
. |
Dean, The trigger shoe slides back and forth on a dovetail. The set screw locks it in place.
|
Thanks Dave. I think I'll stick to Parkers. I've never had a great interest in any other guns anyway.
. |
As always, thank you gents
My first impression was the same as Deans thinking it may be for a weight adjustment as I've had rifles w/an adjustable trigger in the past, albeit adjustments made from the interior of the trigger group. Just wasn't sure in this case as I've never had a s-gun with a single trigger before and have remained curious, so thanks again for schooling me. Now that I'm looking at it & understanding what it is I'm looking at (riding in a dovetail), it looks like maybe 1/4" travel at best? Not really interested in the gun but it is a nice one..sure is a robust design! |
