Barrels and frames
 

I am looking for a barrel set to fit a 12 gauge 1 1/2 frame. Will a frame 2 set of barrels work?

No. Needs to be 1-1/2

As the size of the frame increases the distance between the firing pins increases also

But isn't the firing pin spacing the same for a 1 1/2 frame as for a 2 frame?
I've wondered if a 2 frame would fit but the barrel profile at the receiver would exceed the frame particularly at the bolsters? I've never tried interchanging barrels between guns myself.

Yes, 2 and 1-1/2 have the same firing pin spacing, but, the height of the standing breech is different.

In these two frame sizes, other things such as forends, forend wood and stocks are interchangeable due to the same widths in frames. But not barrels.

They are two different frame sizes for a reason.

Page 45 of the "Serialization Book" lists all of the frame dimensions for the various frame sizes.
