Disabling Ejectors

When you disable Parker Ejectors the extractor throw is shorter than extractor guns, leaving very little shell rim to grab with you fingers.

Any way around this ? Looks like you could replace the ejector guns extractor with one from a extractor barrel. Or is that too simple ?

The kickers cannot be replaced with a standard extractor. The diameter of the shaft on the ejector kickers is significantly larger than an extractor shaft. And there is no guide pin hole or retaining screw for the extractor.

Short of custom making parts or altering parts, there is no way around it.

I had Dewey Vicknair disable the ejectors on my repro. My thought was, leave the hammer springs in place, and remove other ejector components. I figured that the hammers, under constant spring tension, would push the extractors all the way out, as when ejecting. He removed the springs, so I have extractor action, but, like yours, barely enough to grab the shells.

If the hammer springs and hammers are left in, there would be no way to install the forend since the hammers would be full forward when it is off the gun.

There is actually better ways of disabling parker ejectors than gutting the parts from the forend.
