I am working on recutting the checkering on this old Syracuse LC quality 3.

A true 32 lines per inch.

Kind of surprising that a grade 3 would be that fine.

Not sure I could count 32 per inch

Nice work

I have a forend on a Syracuse gun that is checkered very fine and full coverage. However, I don't know what grade of gun the forend came off of.

Might want to have a beer ot two before starting a project like that. (Just to steady your hands a little).

Think I would need a beer and a microscope to tackle that.
