Leaf Spring for 1906 Parker SXS

Hi
Last year my 1906 Parker 12g SXS breech leaf spring finally gave up the ghost! It is amazing that the spring lasted over 100 years, and someone in the family quail or dove hunted the gun almost every year.

Does anyone happen to know of a maker or supplier for leaf springs?

Many thanks in advance,

William Rees
Richmond, VA

I take it you are talking about the top lever spring?

Yes, the top lever spring.
Thanks

I have several top lever springs on hand. But i will tell you that there can be variation in them from gun to gun. The best way of getting a proper one is to have one installed/fitted into the gun. Or at least having the old one to try and match up a new one to.

Having purchased one from Dixie Gun Works (yes they do sell them in a very unfinished condition) and spending several hours fitting it by grinding with a Dremel tool you would be wise to send the stock/receiver to Brian Dudley who responded. It is not worth the frustration and time and getting it in there and out is not for the novice, in my opinion.

Russ, Brian and JA Thank you all for your responses. This is very helpful information and provides some good options to move forward. - Allan
