6Frame D gets a duck
1 Attachment(s)
Took the 36" 6 frame 10ga D Hammer out today for it's first hunt with me. All Black ducks so only shot one but it was BIG!! Now I know why hammerless guns became so successful. It's hard to call ducks cock triggers and handle a dog with a hammer gun. 15 pounds of pure Parker joy!

looks like you got a really big duck and with a sure enough fine gun...nothing no better than big bore guns and long barrels...this is what that big 10 was made for...charlie

Yes. Must be a big drake to match to that frame

Damn Craig, that's a hoss! (the duck). It must be impossible to stop that big cannon once you get it going. Follow through is'nt a problem with that beauty.

The Black is just normal size , the cell phone camera lens makes it look very large I guess.
I was wondering yesterday when was the last time this gun had been out in the marsh. I know before I owned it the gun was not shot since 1960. Anyhow you guys will appreciate how neat it feels to get one of these guns back to work. It won't be my everyday duck gun:) |
how much do the barrels weigh on this behemouth...your gun has to be the heaviest 10 ga out there..anybody got one heavier out there...i only have a 8 ga that is close to your gun in weight..heavy guns really get me for some reason....can you give us a little storey on this gun....charlie
