Single Trigger Doubling

I just received a phone call from Dewey Vicknair, concerning my doubling issue. There was no congealed lubricant in the action. The problem was a part made from a casting that was not fitted correctly. After stoning the working surface of the part, he fired a box of shells and attempted to make the gun double. I was relieved to hear that there actually was an issue. There is nothing worse than being told that no problem was found.

Dewey's the man for triggers. I have an early single trigger on a DHE which I sent to a well known gunsmith back and forth 3 times and he finally said that he could'nt get it right. The right barrel was at 6lbs. and the left was off the chart at over 8lbs.

Dewey had it right within a week. Best thing is no shipping was involved.
