Checkering finish
Ive noticed that on many restored Parkers the checkering seems to be stained or somehow finished darker than the uncheckered wood surfaces. I like the way it looks. Would someone tell me how that is done? Thanks, Brent

Generally done by painting darker colored stain into the checkered areas. To each his own...

Brian Dudley can tell you how he does it. He has posted it before I believe.
