My "trilogy" is now complete

For years I had H.P. Sheldons "Tranquility" and "Tranquility Revisited" and read them over several times enjoying them; keeping in the back of my mind I was missing the third book. I finally picked up "Tranquility Regained" and just finished reading it. I think it is time to start over at the beginning.
To me each story is a gem, but my favorites are where they take place in the south. It could be hunting in North Carolina with Johnny Armbruster or in Arkansas with Mr. Nash. In the late 60's and early 70's I was in college in North Carolina then Arkansas and his descriptions of the land, people and hunting seem to mirror my experiences and memories.
What are your favorite stories and why?

I am not familiar with these, but once I get done compiling my collection of Rutledge and Buckingham I will have to look it up.

My all-time favorite is "Not Without Honor." I get choked up each time I read it and I always re-read it on Flag Day (Memorial Day).

King,

If you enjoy Rutledge and Buckingham, you'll be in for a treat, believe me.

Dean,

That one too is a very good one. I just read that one this past Veterans day.

I need to get those books. I currently have a moratorium on books until I read a few I have already bought

I have "Tranquility" And "T..Revisited" but not "T...Regained"; something else to search for! To be honest. I prefer Sheldon to both Buckingham and Rutledge.

P.S. Thanks ABEbooks; my trilogy is now complete also!

If you enjoyed reading Colonel Sheldon's Tranquility trilogy, you might enjoy two books by Frank Forester - The Warwick Woodlands & My Shooting Box, both published by The Derrydale Press.

Tonight, with a nice fire in the woodstove, I'm going to begin reading Foster's "New England Grouse Shooting" once again. It is a great read and I really enjoy Foster's style and local knowledge. I recognize surnames of characters in his stories as well as names of places in and around Andover, Tewksbury, and North Reading. He mentions the "Shawsheen Meadows" and I live right at their edge along the Shawsheen River. And Uncle Ev's "The Little Gun" is very easy to imagine the feel of, as I have had three just like it - in fact I still have one of them. See "Shot To Destruction" in the Autumn 2015 Issue of Parker Pages.
