12 gauge

I had a spot in the safe for a 12 gauge after selling a number of guns I didn't shoot or didn't fit me. Recently purchased this Dixon box lock made in the 1920s. Cased, 27 inch original barrels with faily open chokes, 2 1/2" chambers and some case color. It fits me very well.
A bit light for waterfowl but I'll find a #2 frame Parker deal in the new year. Shot some skeet with it and all is well.

Very nice indeed, Eric! Feel free to post all the pics of that beauty you can.

A very nice boxlock there! I'll wager it has about 1/4 inch of cast off to help eye alignment.

And Dixson was a very well respected maker. Of course, he was a Scot...
