Dyna-Bore coating for barrel bores

I haven't done much rifle shooting in quite a while but recently saw an article that discussed the benefits of this product - not just in rifles but also in pistols and shotguns. It made me wonder if it would be useful in lightly pitted shotgun barrels.

Has anyone on this forum ever used this product in their shotguns and if so, can they offer an opinion as to its usefulness?

Thanks,

John

After reading a bit more about this I just coated the bore of a new rifle. But I'm still intrigued by the notion of using this in a shotgun barrel. The micro-ceramic notion appeals to me because of the potential for filling in and smoothing out small pits or imperfections on the inside of a shotgun barrel - especially a damascus barrel. Ease of cleaning after application is another side benefit. I'd love to see a borescope from inside of a damascus barrel with before and after photos.

Seems like there is always a new and improved barrel treatment - remember Cryo freezing barrels? How about Moly coated bullets? Hope this new process has longer legs that those two.

It's supposed to last a long, long time.
