20 ga. Composite Barrel Reloading.

Okay, the question is, what chamber pressure are you loading to for your composite barrel 20's ? My barrels are in very good condition, brite with no pitting what so ever and minimum wall thickness of .030" so i believe I'm in pretty good shape in that respect. I just need to get a handle on the chamber pressre thing..... Thanks for your input.

Matt;
I am currently loading at 7200psi for my damascus and steel barrel 20's.
I am using 14.5gr, 20/28, CB107520 wad, WW209 either in a AACF or Rem. hull, 3/4 oz. of shot. An absolutely wonderful load that is low on pressure and minimal recoil. It will break any target, trap or sporting clays, as well as any 7/8 oz. load. Tell me more about your composite barrel 20.

Original 20 gauge loads were 3/4oz as I recall. They are a pleasure to shoot and kill extremely well as do 7/8oz loads in a 16 gauge.

My 20 G 3/4 oz load is the same as Double Labs. Recently bought another 20 that I wanted to load even lighter, used 13.7 20/28 and it works just fine, very clean burning light recoil. May switch all 20 loads to 13.7 20/28 or perhaps not. Want to Cronograph 13.7 before I make my mind up.
