First hunt

I took my youngest (7) Pheasant hunting for the first time. We went to Markover Game Preserve in Danielson CT, run by the second generation of the Olson family Keith and Kevin. The guides and dogs are great! I wish I took some more photos for you guys, but it was a busy day. My dad and I did all of the shooting, buy my son Tyler had a great time retrieving and tagging along.

Good job Chris ! I remember my 1st duck hunt, pheasant hunt, ect. When he starts shooting don't forget to tell him the big secret of, "wood to wood", it took me about 40 years to figure it out. :)

Figuring it out and remembering to do it are two different things :rotf:

Thanks guys! He had a great day and is still talking about it. It's almost time to find the boys a little 410, I think they could handle an H&R single shot.

You are right about knowing and remembering the fundamentals. It's funny how you operate like a clock and shoot great for weeks, then one day you start picking your head up and missing. Maybe soon they'll tag along at Addieville and learn from the pros, I learned a lot myself by shooting with Frank, Scott and Pete.
