Idaho Uplands
I just returned from ten days of chasing birds in Idaho...with my 1902 GH 16 bore with Damascus barrels. What a pleasure this gun is to carry and shoot. Here's some photos.

Nice photos Shawn. I'll be carrying my GHE 16 and 20 next week in SD. Both have 28" damascus barrels on an O frame. They are a delight to carry.

There is a specific quality that I like about a Parker as an upland gun. Aside from the quality, balance, etc. The rounded lower receiver fits my hand like no other. The lack of edges, and sharpness, it is a soft feel. No uncomfortable right angle edges, right where one's hand goes while carrying a double in the field.
When you are carrying a suitable gauge, frame size, etc., there is no more comfortable gun. |
You hit the nail on the head Todd. A OO frame nestles in my hand for a comfortable all day carry.

a small frame gun and a pocket full of shells do indeed help out in a long days walk...the light weight of the gun and the smaller shells help out...charlie

Shawn:
I did enjoy the Photos of the birds and the hunt. Did you see any Chukars in the area??? The area you are in looks to be in the south end of Arbon Valley next to the Curlew National Grasslands???? MAYBE That is where I will be this week, hunting Sharp-tails and huns.:) David |
Thanks for your comments guys! I'm new to Parkers and love this gun. I've been carrying an AYA 20 but now would rather carry my GH. David...we did see chukars near bliss but I was carrying a gun I've dropped before! ;)
