Saftey on GH a little sticky
 

The safty on my GH that i just bought is a little sticky. The more i work it the better it gets but is still not where i would like it. i have never had one of these apart. I am sure it is just gunked up a bit. Is this an easy fix with just a clean up or a job for a good gunsmith?

Don't take it apart. Just spray it thoroughly with Rem Action Cleaner and let it drain out. Spray the whole action too.

What is this Rem. Action Cleaner?
I don't see how you can spray this into the action, well enough to clean a gunked up safety or sticky triggers, without taking at least the floor plate off.
Where do you let it run out at? Wouldn't this just soak into the stock if you could get it into the receiver?

Rem Action Cleaner is widely available, even Wal-Mart, and comes with an applicator tube. It won't take off the finish and I spray it in all holes and around the safety slide and trigger slots, and let it all run out for a long time. DelGrego recommended it. It usually works to fix the problem.

It worked like a charm Bruce......sprayed it...let it drain for an hour or so and it works like new......thanks again.
